Brazilian national Rogério Rodrigues Saito is facing severe new criminal charges in Aichi Prefecture. According to reports from broadcaster Chukyo TV, the suspect has been formally accused of residential trespass and false imprisonment after breaching a security perimeter and taking a local resident hostage in the Tame Nakamachi neighborhood of Toyohashi City.
Criminal investigators stated that the suspect remained inside the property for approximately two hours. During this period, he allegedly held the victim—a 38-year-old fellow Brazilian—under extreme psychological distress and direct physical threat, pressing a pair of scissors against the resident's neck. Despite the highly volatile standoff, the victim escaped without physical injuries, later clarifying to detectives that he shared no personal ties or friendship with Saito, recognizing him only by sight.
