Absent from Santos' draw against San Lorenzo in the Copa Sudamericana, Neymar continues his recovery routine for a right calf edema at the Rei Pelé training ground.
This Thursday morning (21), the forward reported alongside his teammates, underwent treatment with the club's physiotherapists, and also did specific workouts in the gym.
Called up for the World Cup, the number 10 is under medical care to report to the Brazilian national team on the 27th in the best possible physical condition.
On the 31st, the squad led by coach Carlo Ancelotti will say goodbye to the fans in a friendly against Panama at the Maracanã, and there is anticipation that the forward will be on the pitch.
Santos' matches before the national team
Before joining the squad that will chase the hexa (sixth world title), however, Santos has two more fixtures on the calendar: the first this Saturday (23) against Grêmio in Porto Alegre for the Brasileirão; and the second next Tuesday (26) against Deportivo Cuenca for the Sudamericana at Vila Belmiro.
The continental match is decisive for Peixe, and coach Cuca maintains plans to count on his star player:
"Everything surrounding Neymar is complicated to talk about. We have to be very careful, so I prefer to see internally how things are. I think that, clinically, if we want to use him on Tuesday, he will be in condition because his injury is a minor one."

Tribute before the national team
Despite Cuca's wishes, the forward's participation in the match against the Ecuadorians is unlikely.
The reporting date for players called up for the World Cup (except those playing in the Champions League final on the 30th) is scheduled for the morning after Santos' match, which will be played at 21:30 (Brasília time). This in itself is already an issue for Peixe.
Even so, having Neymar at the stadium is one of the board's plans. Through the marketing department, Santos is studying a tribute on the pitch to congratulate him on his call-up.
Against San Lorenzo, Peixe placed a symbol on the center of the jersey with the caption "Selection's 10". The intention, however, is to do something more emblematic.
